Jakarta Weekend

A short weekend trip back to MIL's place
The very much raved about Chanel compact power $70 and eye linear $30 at DFS.
Recommend the conpact, the eye linear is not smudge proof.
Our first time taking off in budget terminal. We usually took airasia which is in T1.
Chong Yee wearing the new clothes i bought her
 MIL home cook food
Very delicious spicy fish stew
MIL's new place she is very proud and excited about.
We see the husband's head is a genetic pass down.

Went down to the mall below the apartment for lunch.
Shabu Tei, serve really good shabu shabu. Soup base is exceptional savoring.

Abundance of greens for steamboat
Since the price is more reasonable here we ordered Wagyu beef shabu. I can feel the oiliness of the meat, the melting fats when i touch it raw. Good quality of marbling, cho oishii.
This is the killer, garlic, radish, spring onion to be added to the shabu sauce.
Tempura and hot soba soup with chawanmushi and salad.
Paid about roughly 40SGD for the meal.
 Cooking mama
What is Hello Kitty doing here?!
 Home decor departmental store
Cute coin banks
Contemplating to purchase a new set of plates for membina.
Met up with Jakarta great sales, all price are slashed.
Bought this complete set even include cups at roughly 50SGD
 Evening few from MIL's room
We talked the in law to try OMO chicken
 Korean fired chicken.
Rice ball with fried ikan bilis and seaweed. Yummy, i wana try this at home someday.
Sweet and spicy chicken, the husband's favorite.
 Rice roll with beef inside.
Night dipping (without the skinny), MIL went down with us with another Korean ajuma neighbor to chit chat beside the pool.
The husband drinking Yakult in the hot Jacuzzi pool
Comfortable to soak in the hot tub with the cold air breezing.
How not to love this new apartment, i hope to get one soon too (and also to keep membina).
Check this, MIL's toilet has a huge window.
MIL bought a whole tree as her dinning table, seriously one piece, one whole tree -.-"
She is telling us thing tree required 10 man to carry up into the apartment.
Our folks has their very unique sense of taste, she mixed everything she likes without a theme. Her new place is quite big as she bought 2 unit and rebuild everything.
Full leather sofa set, envy lor. *rumble*
Sunday was church day for my in law, no homecook lunch so we went down to hunt for meat!
Butcher look promising to provide us some meat.

With my messy hair back then
Potato wedges with nachos topping (beef chilis, avocado and sour cream), once start cant stop.
We ordered a steak and their signature foie gras burger to share.
Nothing to fuss about the meat, fresh chilled no frozen meat imported from US, juice tender and melts in your mouth. Chimichurri sauce is a little oily with mild herbs, not too strong to enhance the natural flavor of the meat.
Waste my money foie gras burger. Burger steak is too dry, i barely taste the foie gras or maybe i should say foie gras and minced meat doesnt match. Maybe a chunk of foie gras on a piece of steak will better bring out the best of both world. Meal cost us also roughly 40SGD.
 Assam sweet, only in Indonesia.
Roppan for dessert
 Sweets on pan (bread)
 Savory on pan (bread)

 Macha Azuki
MIL is having beef bone soup porridge for lunch back at home
MIL quick fix chicken stew dinner before we leave :)
A last picture of the tree in MIL's place. I know she loves woody stuff but i cannot imagine she can managed to get herself one whole tree into her apartment. Complete kudos to her.
